1. Privacy Policy

At EduManager Information System (accessible via edumanagerinfosys.ng), we act as a Data Processor for educational institutions.

Data Collection & Usage

We collect information strictly necessary for school administration, including:

• Student/Staff Profiles: Names, addresses, biometrics (if enabled), and identification numbers.
• Academic Records: Grades, attendance, and behavioral reports.
• Financial Data: Tuition payments and payroll processing information.

Data Protection Measures

We employ industry-standard encryption to protect data in transit and at rest. Access is governed by Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), ensuring that a teacher, for instance, cannot access payroll data, and a student cannot alter grades.

Third-Party Disclosure

EduManager does not sell or lease school data to third-party advertisers. Data is only shared with:

• Government regulatory bodies (e.g., Ministry of Education) as required by law.
• Integrated service providers (e.g., payment gateways) solely for transaction processing.

2. Terms of Service

By deploying the EduManager Information System, the Institution (The "Client") agrees to the following:

Intellectual Property (IP)

• The Software: The codebase, UI/UX design, and proprietary algorithms of EduManager remain the exclusive property of the developers.
• The Data: All institution-specific data uploaded to the system remains the sole property of the School.

User Responsibility

The School is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of administrative credentials. Any unauthorized access resulting from compromised local passwords is the responsibility of the School.

Service Level Agreement (SLA)

We strive for 99.9% uptime. Scheduled maintenance that may result in downtime will be communicated via the edumanagerinfosys.ng portal at least 48 hours in advance.

3. Legal Disclaimers

Data Accuracy

While EduManager provides the tools for calculation (e.g., GPA or tax deductions), the accuracy of the input data is the responsibility of the School’s administrative staff.

Limitation of Liability

EduManager shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from:

• Power outages or internet connectivity issues at the School’s location.
• Loss of data due to "force majeure" events.
• Incorrect academic decisions made based on user-entered data.

Compliance with NDPA

EduManager is designed to be compliant with the Nigeria Data Protection Act. Schools are encouraged to appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO) to manage internal compliance regarding how they handle student information within the platform.
